usage of the plastic sausage casings
Usage of the plastic casings in rolls:
Previous the plastic casings is in rolls.
It is manual by hand to cover the plastic casings on the sausage stuffing tube, for lubricating the casings and easier for the operation of cover casings on the plastic tube, the plastic casings need to be soak in 20-30°C water for 10 minutes. (plastic casings is rigid, after soaking, it will be soft for covering by hand on stuffing tube)
Please notice the rolls casings are closed type, the water can not go inside of the plastic casings.
Usage of the plastic casings in shirred
Now the casings are in shirred, and no need to soak into the water
Because the shirred casings are in open condition, if soak into the water the Bacteria from the water will pollution of the casings and not health. These water will mix with the sausage stuffings and not health.
Meanwhile there is no need of lubricating the casings because it is in shirred.
Just cut one side of the nets, and cover it on the stuffing tube, next cut the other side of the nets.
Now in China all of the manufacturer use shirred plastic casings in this way.
